Frequently Asked Questions
CAN I BRING MY CHILD TO MY COLOR APPOINTMENT?
Yes, the salon is family friendly. However, the reception area is very small and extra seating for guests/children isn’t guaranteed. Please bring books or toys to entertain waiting children as they remain safely in the reception area. Children are not welcome to roam around the salon unsupervised. For them to do so would present a safety hazard to themselves, other clients, and hairstylists.
DO YOU OFFER CONSULTATIONS?
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY SERVICE?
All color services include B3 or Olaplex & a blowout. All blonding services include B3 or Olaplex, a toner & a blowout. All haircuts & treatments include a shampoo & a blowout. Heat styling is included at the end of each blowout.
WHAT IS B3 & OLAPLEX?
Olaplex is a bond builder that works to rebuild broken bonds from within repairing, protecting, and strengthening the hair. Turns dry, brittle, and damaged hair into silky, smooth, and vibrant hair.
B3 is Brazilian bond builder. It’s an oil based carrier that conditions the hair, while reducing breakage and helps prevent damage during color services.  Improving the overall integrity of the hair while prolonging color retention and vibrancy between appointments. Â
Olaplex works internally and repairs the broken disulfide bonds, B3 works on the outside of the hair but it doesn’t repair broken disulfide bonds, but it does help smooth down the cuticle layers of the hair.
WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
I accept all major credit cards, cash, venmo, & apple pay.
IS CLEAN OR DIRTY HAIR BETTER FOR MY COLOR APPOINTMENT?
Either is fine. But I ask that you please do NOT come with hair over 3 days unwashed. Thank you in advance for your cooperation as my face will be inches away from you scalp. The old wives tale of not to wash your hair the day of your hair appointment is kinda true. While shampooing you can cause scratches on the scalp that when color is applied can cause a burning or itching sensation.
HOW LONG SHOULD I PLAN FOR MY COLOR APPOINTMENT?
Color appointments depend on services.  Grey coverage takes 1-1.5 hours. Most blonding services take an average of 2.5-3 hours. Fashion colors or Double Process blondes take a minimum of 3 hours. Please contact me directly for a more personalized timeframe.
HOW LONG SHOULD I WAIT BEFORE MY NEXT COLOR RESERVATION?
Its all up to you, depending on your desired look, budget, and lifestyle. Here are the average times between appointments.  To cover greys 4-6 weeks. To maintain an all over color shine and vibrance 6-8 weeks. Any highlights 10-12+ weeks, I prefer to highlight hair that has over 1.5 inch of regrowth. If there is too little regrowth then when highlighting overlapping the lightener can occur causing breakage. Any for of balayage or highlight with shadow root/melt service can come in 1-3 times a year; its the perfect service for low maintenance gals or busy moms.
WHAT IS YOUR MISSED/LATE APPOINTMENT POLICY?
In the event you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment will be rescheduled & you will be charged a fee depending on how much time is blocked off for you.  If you missed (no call/no show) your appointment you will be required to pay 75% of your service in order to rebook.  All fees/deposits are non-refundable.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
A 24 hour notice is required in order to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Â If you do not cancel or reschedule within the designated time above, then a rebooking fee will be required to move forward with the appointment.
DO YOU SELL PRODUCTS?
Yes! I sell a wide variety of products and brands. Check out the products page to see which products that I love, use & sell.
Extensions Frequently Asked Questions
IS A DEPOSIT REQUIRED?
Yes, a deposit is required to order the hair before your appointment. The deposit amount required is the total cost of your hair & is due at the consultation. This deposit is non-refundable once your hair is ordered as hair is not able to be returned.
CAN I USE HEAT/HOT TOOLS ON MY EXTENSIONS?
Yes, absolutely! All extension hair is real human hair. Just like your own hair, you need to protect it with the appropriate thermal protectant. Usually whatever you are already using on your own hair will do just fine! Click here to see what I recommend.
HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO REPLACE MY EXTENSION HAIR?
Depending on how well you treat your extensions, the hair will last about 4-6 move ups. So, somewhere around 36 weeks. If the hair is well taken care of you can keep wearing it as long as it’s good! Personally I am able to wear my extensions for a year before getting a new set; disclaimer they do get shorter over time.
WHAT BRAND OF HAIR DO YOU USE?
Babe Hair Extensions. I am certified in this brand. Have them using and wearing them since 2017.
CAN I REMOVE MY EXTENSIONS & HAVE THEM REINSTALLED LATER?
Yes however I don’t recommend it. Tape in extensions are adhered to the hair with industrial strength double sided tape that is very sticky and can be a mess and huge pain to remove. If you do remove the extensions yourself it will be considered a new install & the price will stand at that.
DO THE EXTENSIONS CAUSE DAMAGE TO MY REAL HAIR?
The tape will not damage your hair or cause any damage to your scalp. The ends of your hair depend on how you take care of & treat your hair and the extension hair. In my personal experience with them, I’ve had less breakage than previous methods & my hair is starting to grow back in thicker. I also am very rough with my hair & wear it up often.
CAN I WEAR MY HAIR UP?
Absolutely! The tabs are placed to be hidden when your hair is up. I personally wear my hair in a high bun 3 days a week.
WHY DO I LOVE WEARING EXTENSIONS?
Obviously having long thick hair is awesome. I’m able to curl my hair once and it lasts 3+ days; sometimes way longer depending on how I wear it up, twist bun tends to keeps the curl longer.
OTHER THINGS TO KNOW:
Blow drying is going to take longer than usual.
Under no circumstances, should you go to bed with wet hair. This can cause matting which can lead to breakage or even mold.
Air drying is ok as long as your make sure your tabs are completely dry before going to bed or putting your hair up.
The extensions will grow out with your real hair & move ups should be done every 6-8 weeks.
A simple braid while you sleep will help keep hair from getting tangled
Keratin Treatments are especially helpful on both the extensions & your real hair when it comes to drying/styling time.
Your extensions will need to be cut to blend them with your real hair, so don’t freak out when the time comes.
You can wear extensions for length or volume. You don’t need to look like Repunzel to have extensions.
